Please be aware that these links show the text as it is in the 2025-2026 GA staging area only, and they are to be used as a resource for departments and schools strictly for review and developmental purposes. These links do not present or display the official and currently published 2024-2025 General Announcements (GA), found at ga.rice.edu. Departments and programs reviewing these pages as part of the GA edit process should be aware that they may need to refresh the browser to see the most recent changes in the editing process. At Rice University, faculty oversee the curriculum, and do so via representation of the Faculty Senate, the Committee on Undergraduate Curriculum (CUC), and the Graduate Council (GC). The General Announcements is the official documentation of Rice curriculum and academic policy. The 2025-2026 academic year's General Announcements will be published in August of 2025.
