How to Request a Room (Meeting, Tutorial, Exam, etc.)
The Office of the Registrar is responsible for scheduling the activities to occur in the general use classrooms and computer labs. Prior to submitting a request to use a specific room, please check the list of Registrar-scheduled classrooms to confirm that the desired room is scheduled by the OTR.
- Faculty, instructors, and staff members may request a classroom here.
- Student organizations must request classroom use through the Office of Student Activities.
- External organizations must document their classroom requests as described in this procedure.
Each classroom request is placed in a queue and processed at the appropriate stage for the date(s) of the request. In a given semester, the top priority is to assign classes to classrooms, after which we allocate space for events/meetings. Therefore, a room request for a future semester will not be processed until after space has been allocated for that semester's classes. For example, a request submitted in June for a room for a September lecture will be processed in late July or early August, after classrooms have been assigned for Fall daytime, evening, and weekend classes.
