This e-mail is being sent as a courtesy reminder, and is a highlight of an important deadline in the Fall 2021 Academic Calendar:

The posted deadline to submit an APPLICATION FOR DEGREE for December 2021 is THIS FRIDAY (October, 29, 2021). If you plan to graduate in December 2021, and have not already done so, please submit your paper Application for Degree ppwk to the Office of the Registrar. (The process is manual and paper-based for GR students.)
As noted in the General Announcements, "Students are responsible for making certain that their plan of study meets all degree and major requirements." The APPLICATION FOR DEGREE form is available via ESTHER, in the Student Services tab. Download it and upon completion, submit it to the Office of the Registrar, either in-person or via e-mail at registrar@rice.edu.
Please additionally note that THIS FRIDAY (October 29, 2021) is also the deadline to file the following in the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies for December 2021 degree conferral:
- Thesis master's candidacy petitions
- Certificate of non-thesis master's
- Form for candidacy masters
- Ph.D. candidacy petitions
{NEW} INFO ON DECEMBER 2021 CONVOCATION CEREMONY
Students applied to graduate in December 2021 will receive an e-mail next week (on or before Thurs 11/04) with an RSVP url link for the December 2021 Convocation Ceremony. Additional and regularly updated information on the December 2021 Convocation Ceremony can be found, at:
