This e-mail is being sent as a courtesy reminder, and is a highlight of an important deadline in the Fall 2021 Academic Calendar:

— APPLY TO GRADUATE (APPLICATION FOR DEGREE)
The posted deadline to submit an APPLICATION FOR DEGREE for December 2021 is next month (October). If you plan to graduate in December 2021, and have not already done so, please submit your paper Application for Degree ppwk to the Office of the Registrar. (The process is manual and paper-based for graduate students.)
Please additionally note that Friday (10/29) is the deadline to file the following in the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies as part of December 2021 degree conferral:
-- Thesis master's candidacy petitions
-- Certification of non-thesis master's
-- Form for candidacy masters
-- Ph.D. candidacy petitions
— ACADEMIC PROGRESS (GO TO YOUR ADVISOR / DEGREE WORKS)
As noted in the General Announcements, students are responsible for making certain that their plan of study meets all graduation (degree and program, and/or certificate) requirements. Students are encouraged to regularly meet with their advisors. To complement advising, students should review their academic progress using the Degree Works tool available in ESTHER (for graduate students in certain terminal master’s programs).
